Yeah, I figured I'd create one of these topics since I didn't see one anywhere else. So, yeah, discuss wrestling, wrestling drama, drama, and other awesome wrestling things in here. Oh, and for the record, all the wrestling fans here probably know wrestling is fake, and they know that they're gay for watching big, sweaty men hug each other etc. Thanks for not shoving it in our faces.

Anyway this is great. Man it's too bad I can watch WWE Raw or ECW.
I'm a smackdown fan. My mate watches the Lifetime channel too much and hogs the TV. So no RAW for me = (.

Ever since I was little I loved the WWF, now the WWE. Shawn Michaels has always been my hero and he always will be. DX is gonna wipe the floor with Jericho and Big Show. If you don't believe me, look at what Triple H has done to people like Kevin Nash. (Fake or not, it was pretty brutal.) But the biggest reason why is this:

When was this? Because, I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about here. That sounds like one badly botched spot.

My favorite wrestler right now is Jericho. He's a very talented wrestler, is great on the mic, and always finds a way to impress me.

"Michelle McCool" is a pretty rad name but otherwise I really don't care about wrestling that much.

I can see the appeal if you've been paying attention to, like, all the mythology that surrounds the different wrestlers, and wanna see how X will play against X considering their history of X, but... I'm really not the kind of guy who cares about that sort of thing, and the fact that it's all staged gets rid of the other aspect of wrestling I could enjoy, which is actually assessing both combatants and trying to determine who would come out on top and why.

Knowing it's fake has shifted the way I talk and think about wrestling, rather than put me off of it. I don't look at Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker, for instance, and say "Wow 'taker is beating the shit out of Jericho". I look it and say "Wow, these two are working together quite well tonight. I can't wait to see the finish". I guess what I'm saying is that I look at and critique wrestling's staged aspect and how well they're acting, rather then try and pretend the Undertaker is actually trying to steal Jericho's soul.

Well I do both to be honest. Y2J should be smart enough to know the undertaker can't submit. It's like dude just CodeBreaker him, Stay away from his legs. Kane got pwn by Y2J. I was really happy for Jericho that night. I really respect him.

honestly same here! yeah its fake but you have to remember these guys arent just going out to the ring and improving it, they are trained to act/fight a certain way, they have to go through camps and trainings and all kinds of shit to prepare for it. Its scripted yeah, but the way they submit some of the stuff they are hired to do is kind of cool

having said that, great and well put together thread dude! Ive been out of the scene for a bit in the wwe thing (and i dont plan to jump back in anytime soon) but ive been reading up on some of it and catching it on channel surfing.

Yeah, it definitely is cool. Generally, it takes about six months of training at a wrestling school before you're ready to begin. I've been wanting to go to a wrestling school for awhile, but I'm not exactly in the best physical shape for it at this point. I hope so spend the next year to two years getting in better physical shape for it.

I didn't watch wrestling from 2001 to 2004, so I missed a lot of good stuff, like Kane taking off his mask and Brock Lesnar's three title reigns. I didn't get it on my TV.

I used to be a be fan of Lita from RAW, because she was different than the chicks to me for some reason. Then she changed, and I didn't like her anymore. I was a fan of John Cena when I used watch it - I even made a cheesy poster for him when I went to SMACKDOWN. XD I can't watch it now since we can't watch any channels, but I would if like someone turned it on and started watching it.

Oh guys, I totally forgot. Hogan's going over to TNA, and is promising a 3.0 rating for TNA iMPACT. It's also going to be on Monday, to compete with Raw, and will be a three hour show. This will be on January 4th, I believe.

I don't have enough alcohol to get me through the three-hour clusterfuck that is a three-hour episode iMPACT.
