Wow; A full Template

Something I don't do too often. =/ The side and back walks are kind of buggy looking, but they're fine enough I think for anyone to use (plus it's late and I'm tired, lol). It's a medium-sized charaset that I started a long time ago, got bored with and stopped working on until earlier tonight when I decided to start digging through my usb stick. =P

I like it mainly because it's big enough to have some details but not so big I have a hard time not leaving a bunch of wasted space shading. Maybe you guys might, too. =)

Here are some other charas I did/started in this style. The first one is Tatyana from Romancing SaGa 3! ^^

I've posted the second one (Claire) before, and the third one's an old, old princess design of mine (Urvea) that gets recycled a lot. The last two are WiPs, but the second to last one is a recolor/redo of the blonde Rtp Mage with the teal cape and red dress/kerchief/barets ( :( ).

I just added a dresser, too. I did it for no real reason and thought I'd post it in case someone wanted to use it (although I haven't looked to see if it fits with the rtp so good luck).

Everyone's free to use the template if they want. If I start doing more full sets I may just post them. =0

Comments/critique? I know I'll probably redo the side walking graphics along with the back view's standing feet.

EDIT: I remembered I had started a sprite of Bjork from her Homogenic CD cover!~

Thanks, but the whole point of that is so that the user doesn't have to erase all the body shading every time they want to add a garment. =)

The way I sprite is I color in one solid color the shape of something before shading it. Having everything already in blocks makes it easier and faster.

Its good, however people rarely change aspects of the foot other than the color when doing a character so I'd reccomend shading the feet out as well.

Big shoes?

[ON TOPIC]

Looks great! I always think new templates are the best way to go, giving people more choice and hopefully getting everyone away from the horrible RTP eventually :D keep it up!

Thanks everyone. =) I shaded the shoes, although I kind of scrimped on the back pose (I change the feet most of the time when I start a new sprite by making them bigger, smaller, or differently shaped).

I might as well make this my dump thread. =)

I just posted the little African-looking girl and will probably do a full set with her within the next few days. I thinks she's so adorable, lol. Originally, her character design was a tall, black haired Scandinavian-type woman in a fur dress who was a black smith's daughter/apprentice and carried a giant hammer (ala Thor of Norwegian mythology). Needless to say she has been through a lot of changes.

I started to work a bit more on the Clair sprite. I said I was going to do more on the little black sprite but I decided I wanted a different walking pose for child characters, so I'll get back to that when I make a new template for them.
