World of Digimon

I am thinking of making a Digimon World Game but i have many things that need to be thought out....

For one, I have to figure out whether the people follow the story line of the series as the main characters, or if it should be like the digimon world games, or if it should be my own story line about the DIgital World.

I also have to figure out if theres a way to have more than 999 skills, cuz if i have 750 + Digimon in the game, they will all only be able to use 1 technique which would suck alot.

If you're serious about this, go with an original storyline, like
Digimon World for PSX has.

other than that, I wouldn't worry about the skills. You should begin
smaller. 750 digimon is far too much. Even the original digimon game
had only 50, and about 80 recolors of the originals, with about 100 skills
of which some could be used by more than one digimon.

putting yourself such goals will make sure you never finish this game.

... why was your original post in your signature? O_o

anyway... There are a lot of Digimon GBA, Gameboy and PSX games.
You just have to keep LOOKING.

Good luck.

EDIT: I see. It's not. but it's very confusing nontheless.

I agree with these people about setting your goals lower... I once did something similar.
About the game:
What systems are you going to have (ABS, Custom menu, day/night ect.) As they are the most important thing (Besides graphics) to get done before you do anything else, as they may require careful formating of things. Take Nears SDK compilation. You have to put things like |$ats.setup(1,1,0) on the maps to tell the script what to do...
Sorry,i drifted of topic a little there. What are your main characters? How do they get into the digimon world. Even more so, what's the plot/plot twists?

An ABS will not be necesary, but that depends on what kind of battle
you'd want (Kai). Play through some Digi Games. Making Digivolution
and the like an important and interesting part of the game would be
hard with an Adventure Battle system. I don't really know what you're
going for though.
