Needs more shading.
And it's a ship?
I thought it was a shoulder pad for gladiators XD

The ship is too thin.
1) Nobody could fit in it.
Excuse 1: It doesn't have to have a driver :O!"
2) It does not matter. Something that small and thin could not possibly maintain the fuel and engine needed for a ship.

From what it looks like, this isn't actual size. It is probably a far off view, I'm guessing what he had in mind was that up close it would be bigger.
I think you should start with something smaller, like a ship in an snes shooter. This seems a bit too big for you, it seems like you don't know how to shade it cause of its size. But anyway. You should fix up the line art, pick a light source, and watch the colours. You're up to 15 already and this just seems like a template. You should add another fin like in bills edit, but make them straighter. I would show you an example, but I can't at the moment. The way the fins are place at the moment the ship would always fly downwards. Lose the sort of white lines on the side of the ship, it makes it look like a drums base. Hope this helped, I'm kinda in a rush so this won't much a whole lot of sense.

I think it looks like that thing you wear on your shoulder for protection

@mr_smith: Lol

Heres some update i know i have lots to consider such as weight, colors and physics ill try to reply on you guys later, thank you.

Haha nice design of spaceship you got there. As already mention just need to:-

1. Make more thicker!
2. Some shading

That's all but I love the winged version of the ship... :cute:

Looks a hell of a lot better than before (like, I can tell what it is now), and I actually really like the design, but yeah, it needs some shading. Something to consider: light is very harsh in space because there's no atmosphere to diffuse it, so you're going to want tons of contrast and particularly deep, sharp shadows. Check out this picture of a moon rock:

@perihelion: thanks alot that would really help.

I was thinking of a big ship with a big nuclear reactor inside, I need suggestions with shading that would look like metallic.

New update, heres a smaller ship as 006 suggested, been busy this week guys ill try to post more updates especially on the first mother ship that I introduced.

Lol, is that first pic Jill from Res Evil? anyway, that spaceship with a nuclear reactor looks like a PC, dunno why, but all in all, their all neat, far from anything I can even do. ;)

hooray for pixelart. I remember my first drawings in paint, the good old days :).

But I believe these sprites and this pixelart could be much better. So I suggest you start by learning the basics. And then, after some practice, you'll notice you've improved tons.

step1: practice lineart
step2: palette practice *actually your palettechoice is pretty good, so you can skip this one*
step3: defining lightsource and adding shades and highlights
step4: practice different textures, dithering and sellout
