(Copied from my post on Sakari-Infinity, because I'm lazy. )
So, I'm writing a piece in Finale for my final project in a class I'm taking called Music and Computers (we learn Garage Band, Digital Performer, and Finale, and delve into some of the aspects of combining the digital side of things with audio recording), and I decided to transcribe it from memory at home. This is actually a really personal piece, and is somewhat to do with certain events in my life I won't get into... but anyway, I feel pretty proud of it so far. It's not finished yet, but I figured this was a good place to stop for the purpose of sharing it. It's supposed to be a six part piece, with the parts titled like this:
Part 1: Sleep/Encounter (0:00 - 0:59)
Part 2: Enchantment (1:00 - 1:46)
Part 3: Darkness (1:47 - 2:33)
Part 4: Realization (2:33 - 3:28)
Part 5: Shattered Dream
Part 6: Awakening
With parts 5 and 6 not written yet.
This was done in Reason with the new collection of sounds I got, the Miroslav Refill Gold Bundle orchestral sound set, just in case anyone's curious. Anyway, I'd love an opinion on this, since it's a pretty meaningful piece to me.
An Homage to a Shattered Dream (Parts 1-4)
