Windowskin won't show font ?

Jason

Awesome Bro

Hey everyone, I just bought VX today, I know I said I wasn't going to cause I don't like it, but I thought I might as well, just to say I've got it, and I've made a windowskin for a quick game in the making, and for some reason, when I use it, I can't see ANY of the font ingame except that on the titlescreen, has this happened to anyone before, and is there a way to fix it ?

Agh spoilers.

That's an awesome bug that I've never heard of. Have you changed the font? Do you have any custom scripts installed? What's with that gray blurp on the second screenshot? The font color changed to light blue. Did you edit Window_Base? Would you be willing to create a demo so others could debug the problem? Because honestly I have no idea whats going on there.

Odd... does it work with the default window skin?

Good question I didn't even think about it. He might have some kind of odd font problem. But to only affect certain window types is kind of odd. And to leave Window_Command alone.

Yes, it works perfectly with the default windowskin, and I bought VX like 5 mins before I tried using the windowskin so NOTHING has been modified, the grey square is just cause I haven't made a next animation yet, lol.

I hope someone can help me

I have an idea. Those blocks of color in the lower right of the default windowskin. They represent the colors you can use for text. Try copying the text color portion from the default windowskin and paste over the custom windowskin's same area. You might have left this portion blank!

Ah, I did leave it blank, I'll see what happens :thumb:

Edit---

WOW, That actually worked ! So I guess the colours are for the text coding, does this mean you can make the default text colour different ? *goes to experiment*

Thanks for your help guys, turns out the reason why I didn't put that bit on, cause I was just using an RMXP Windowskin Template, haha :thumb:
