Win Vista PC not showing in Win 7 Network

As you can see from the title, why can't my windows 7 computers see my cousin's windows vista computer in our network? Vice-versa, he also cannot see my 2 windows 7. I checked the network map, his computer is showing up there, but he's unable to connect to any LAN games we play or any other network related features.

Go to your Network and Sharing Center, and enable everything; do this on both computers. If that does not work, Google it, or call customer service.

I suggest specifying your ip.
You could for example have the following specifications:

Machine 1
IP Address: 192.168.1.11
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Machine 2
IP Address: 192.168.1.12
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Also make sure any of your firewalls don't interfere. It's perfectly possible that you cannot play with each other due to the firewalls.

Well we can play some games that have an option to connect by typing the IP, but some games like Resident Evil 5, does not have this feature, so we are pretty much screwed.

Even weirder is that my aunt came back and she also has a Vista laptop, but we can see her on the network!
My cousin has off his firewall also.

Please we need help, as we really wanna play Resident Evil 5 together before he goes.

Make sure File and Printer Sharing is enabled on both computers. Also make sure you're in the same workgroup (default is MSHOME). Make sure that any firewall software is set to allow network discovery on the local network.
