What graphics tablet should I get?

I'm planning on buying a graphics tablet for my computer soon. My only problem is that I know little to nothing about tablets and which I should get.

I don't need anything special-no fancy features or anything like that. It just has to be able to do simple artsy things on the computer. Sketching, digital painting, line drawing, stuff like that. It doesn't have to be big either, although I don't want something too small. Preferably no smaller than 4" by 6" or so. Price isn't too big of an issue bit I'm on a budget so anything under $150 would be preferable.

I've been looking at the Bamboo from Wacom. It seems pretty close to what I want but I'm just wondering whether it's the best for doing digital art, or if there's a better option out there.

Do you guys have any suggestions for me? SHould I stick with the Bamboo or try something else?

I went out and bought a Bamboo Fun today instead of the regular Bamboo for $140. I bought the Fun because of the extra software it comes with-it's an extra $50 for Photoshop Elements, Corel Painter and Nik Color Efex Pro which on their own would run you a couple hundred bucks.

This is actually a tablet that I have on Ebay at the moment... the reserve is set to $250, but this tablet is well worth that.

It is big, powerful, and basicially brand new... I loved it, but now am choosing to sell it.

And as to the programs that are good for use with that tablet, Corell Painter X is Masterful! the best one I have used it with. Photoshop CS4 is a close second.

yeah, that's what I have, except I have one size smaller. i typ find it easier to work with the mid-size ones since I dont have to cover as much physical space in a stroke. it's a damn fine machine, that

I bought a wacom intous3 4 years ago and its still great. Don't buy A4 if you plan to use a laptop with it btw. Less bulkier better for travelling.
