Judging by the exactly straight black rectangle slightly south of it, I'd say it's an error on putting the map pieces together.

Look at it closer, it looks like someone's just drawn a yellow rectangle, rotated it, and changed it's transparency. Then drawn a purple stripe on it.

That first link is a zoomed out screenshot so you can know where it is exactly if you try to see it with google maps.

Heh, I also though it was some sort of container at the first time I zoomed in but it was way too big to be a container. I really have no idea of what it is, unless it really is an edited image like Wyatt said.

Could also be a glitch, a corruption of the film - well data, a mistake in editing, a glare of light, a piece of debris in front of or on the lens of the satellite image - etc.
