What do I tint. . .

what numbers should Red, Green, Blue and Grey be for the following times of day:

Morning: Around 7-10 o' Clock

Afternoon: 12-3 o'clock

Late Afternoon/Evening: around 5-9 o'clocl

That's depends on personal preference. (and your monitor)

I would say generally, in the morning slightly red, in the evening slightly blue. (both darker than noon)
Noon: 0,0,0,0 (default setting)

Be Well

Isn't it usually the other way around. Dusk is usually red, but I'm not so sure about dawn.
Well I like how morning looks with a little bit of red, it makes it almost darker but still retaining it's color.  It just looks like morning to me.

Whereas Blue makes everything darker, like night.

Yeah it seems your right. I just checked some photos of dawn and dusk and you are correct.

I'm sure that quoting everybody without saying anything yourself REALLY helped the progression of this topic.

Abyssal, if you had bothered to read Wannabe's post, you would have realized he just messed up the quote tags...

hi122neo, switch to decaf!  :scruff:

While it's true that sometimes the sky is red at night, in general a warmer (red) tone gives the feeling of morning (warming up),
whereas a cooler tone (blue) give the feeling of cooling down (evening).

Yeah, sorry about that.  I only saw the quotes with no other content.  Seeing as Wannabe edited the post, I see no further reason to cause any sort of issue.  It was my mistake.  I will leave it at that, lest I become any more pestiferous to this topic.

Pertaining to this topic, I think blue is a good night color.  For morning, I would suggest a pinkish red.  I'm actually working on a similar system for my own game(s).
