Website Design

Pretty good, rather simple, very light...there's not much to say. It's not a remarkable design per se, but it does exactly what its supposed to do, akin to Google's design (simple, light, effective).

I like it, you seem to be following the KISS (Keep it Simple, Stupid, not the band!) which is a very good way to design things (an artist I know said that "KISS" is the only thing you really get from design school).

The Google ads are very well integrated as well. Keep it up.

It's quite nice. Djzazler is right about the advertisements. They blend, well.

One of my suggestions would be Random Tutorial (maybe under the new tutorial) and random fun facts. And make a mudkip tutorial please (cuz i liek mudkipz, literally) =]

Thanks for the lovely advice, anyone here want to support me by posting my banners in their signature? Anyone know of how I can promote the site?

Seriously man, how many threads do you need to post about your site?

Anyway, C&C.

Well....It's basic. But not really in a good way. It just doesn't have an air of professionalism to it for some reason. It may be the shades of blue you've used but I just can't get accustomed to it. But more than this, it's probably the fact that, not only is your design basic, but your content is too. A handful of tutorials and a few colour palettes (which take about five minutes to put together in general. If that) really do not constitute a good site.

You ought to have waited until you had got a lot more meat on the site and then begun to advertise it. Your advertising method needs tweaking too- yesterday you put off more people than you attracted. When your username is your site name, any shit you pull will be affiliated with your site immediately.

Well, your tutorials are awesome, and so are your palettes, It could do with a better design over all, but still very good nonetheless. (I made a chibi for the first time in my life ^^)

Proofread? There are some pretty numerous and some obvious spelling mistakes up on there.

I can't seem to like your design either. You've given the middle finger to people on an 800x600 resolution (or people like me who use a much higher resolution but prefer not to have their browser fullscreen) by using a wide fixed width site. I wouldn't mind, but you're not really filling your wide layout with much content. It could all easily fit into a thinner layout.

Best would be a fluid design, but from looking at your source it's obvious you've used a program such as dreamweaver so I wouldn't suggest you try.

Hehe... dreamweaver... why don't you ppl just hand code it? It isn't that difficult. You really don't need a software wasting space.

by the way colormagix I will be as honest as I can for you. Your layout is rather simple, which in this case works, but is not extraordinary. I really don't like the font... and the whole color clashes just kinda look gross, but I definately like the idea, and though it needs some work, which... what site doesn't?, it is coming along nice! Good luck, and keep it up!!!

One thing I like is your favicon! lol it's nice.

(One tiny thing I noticed is that on your random facts you said the RBG color scale... that would be RGB lol... just thought id point that out.)

Dreamweaver is a fantastic piece of kit for the coder and I use it regularly. When working with huge information tables the design view can speed the process up tenfold.

But I love the website it has great content and I bookmarked it. The code could be a little more light weight but it doesn't matter that much overall it still loads relativley quick and accesability isn't really priority on a site with content such as that.

Yes dreamweaver is nice, but can't do everything all by itself you must have some knowledge of basic coding. But I agree it is pretty good tool

I use Dreamweaver all the time, but I use it all the time in code view. The code is not to hard. And because it lets you preview the results before even uploading it on your host, you can practice and see what changes what. If you make a mistake, be sure to have a backup of whatever you did, that way you can fix it. That's what I would recommend.

I don't think dreamweaver is aimed at people who can't code anyways. I always saw it as a way of just getting the results I need faster even though I have a fairly sound knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
