Walk in place mini script

Hey guys.
Working on a mini project in VX and I'm looking for a script that would automatically turn the Stepping Animation on the player without disabling VX's dash feature. So far, I've handled this through events but it disables the dash feature and I would like to keep that working. I'd really appreciate any help I can get with this.

In Game_Character, under  attr_accessor :transparent, add:

  attr_accessor :step_anime

Now you can just use the script command:

$game_player.step_anime = true or false

That shouold be it.
