W.I.P VX to HK

I've started on a wip sprite of Actor 1-c spritesheet, from the RMVX rtp.

If any could give friendly c&c, it would be appreciated.

I used SK's armour in a few spots there.

The chest piece, the waist guard and the Boots are recolours from ShowKaizer.

Good job! The shading is excellent and you used the palette nicely. I would like to see how this would come out.

something seems off with the chest, kinda looks like he has (small) boobs instead of armor. >_>

i think the highlighting and dark underline are making it look more boob-ish. try fiddling with it?

Ok, where to begin...

1. The head is horrible, I saw the armor, and said "Ok, this could work" Then I went from the neck up and almost puked. Yeah, you have to fix that.

2. WeaponOD gave you a lot of praise, and after reading your post, it sounds like all the good parts are recolors. So yeah, fix the head.

1.Can you explain what is "horrible" about the neck up? Besides saying that it makes you almost puke...

1. Ok, the hair is a mess, even for RTP standards. Its just really wild, and you need to tone it down. Plus that mask he wearing looks like some sort of *puts on censor* "intercourse" toy.

2+3. I'm actually quite happy lately, and that was constructive, it all depends on how you look at it.

I personally don't think the hair and the guard are that bad, but since you feel so strongly about it, that you have to over-exaggerate...I will make an edit to please you.

Actually the hair is pretty well done, the armor are not even on the mouth to become a toy, Bojj.

The only problem I see is chest armor lordnick pointed out. ^_^

The hair is actually done pretty well. It could probably use a little more dark tones for my tastes, and obviously it's an unnatural color (which is easily remedied with a palette swap), but it's not done badly at all??

And I have no idea what you're referring to about the headgear? And I have a very dirty mind, so if I can't see it, the innuendo doesn't exist.

Now that I look closer I do see the "boobish"ness of the chest plate, which is odd since I don't recall SK's armor looking like it had boobs and I think this is a recolor, but anyway just blend the colors in to made the "pecs" more squarish and a little flatter instead of small and round, and you'll be fine.
