[VX/XP] Strange Keyboard Malfunction [RESOLVED]

Okay, so I was messing around in RMVX the other night and suddenly my game was stricken with a strange malfunction. It was as if the up key was being pressed at all times. So, naturally I check my events to make sure nothing was calling on the player to move - but off course it all occurs in menus (making them impossible to use). I then check my scripts, none of them affected the keyboard or input, but I deleted them all. Still nothing. I then open a fresh project file and the problem persists. I've even removed and reinstalled the program. WTF!? Has this ever happened to anyone else? VX is my fun little hobby program - I'd hate to lose it.

EDIT: The problem also exists in XP.

Do you have any Bluetooth advice connected to your pc? I had the exact same problem a while ago when I tried connecting my wii remote so I could play rmxp games with the wii remote + nunchuck. After deactivating my Bluetooth it all worked so I suggest you should do that. ;)

It could just be you pressed the UP button too hard? Maybe it's not that easy, but I promise I have done that several times, and in all games the PLAYER keeps moving in the direction because I pressed a key too hard. It kinda lock itself (like if you pressed UP, it's fixed because you pressed to hard and the computer THINKS you still press the button because of that) But it wouldn't persist so long, thats strange:P

The most common cause is either the [Up/Down/Left/Right] arrow key gets stuck or direction triggers caused by a possible phantom HID (gamepad, joystick, etc.). (By phantom I mean that Windows can believe the device is still connected after you remove it)
The former can most often be solved by pressing the arrow key in question. The latter can be solved by disabling the device which causes the trouble. Sometimes restarting the computer also solves the problem.

*hugs*
