[VX] Set Variable By Character Level Problems

While working on an Event in VX, I come across a problem with setting a Variable based on the characters level, regardless of the characters level, it'll always set the variable to '0'.

I've checked the event over, and even made an indentical event in RMXP which works fine, so is this just me having problems or has anyone else come across this?

I read somewhere else that someone was having problems with that same thing. I believe it's a glitch in VX. Although, you may want an additional person to confirm this. (I don't use VX).

If that is the case, and you really need a variable set to a player's level, it would probably have to be done via script (which I don't know how to do at this point).

I can confirm this. I was trying to make a new party member the same level, only based on EXP. I continued to find that all situations where setting a variable to anything under the "actor" tab doesn't work. I will second this request for help.

Check Marpy's "Variable Issue" post.  There's a bug in VX.

I just beat my brain's out trying to figure out how to report it to Enterbrain(less)....

Anyone read / write Japanese?  (See, we should have kept Erk around...)  :scruff:

Be Well
