[VX] RTP face style from sketch....

Ok. So, I made a request here:

And somehow, I ended up doing it too since I felt bad because two very generous people (also great artists) were doing their best while I'm just sitting around waiting.

It's not quite done. It's like only 30% complete. It's really hard coloring since I'm no good at it and it's actually my first time. Also I'm not using tablet. I'm only using my laptop's touch-pad, or if I'm lucky enough, my sister sometimes lends me her Human Interface Device (a.k.a mouse).

I've been working on it for 4 days straight, minus the breaks and Crisis Core playtime. >.<

So yeah... I know it's not good but.... I at least tried.

Geddoe huh? Hm... I wonder why...

Anyway, yeah, a lot of people are saying my character has lots of look-a-likes. Such as, Uchiha Sasuke from naruto, The Prince (Storm) of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Cloud Strife of Final Fantasy VII (dunno why), and a friend even said it reminds her of me... o.O?!

when people don't say anything it usually means that they have nothing to add.

But i do
the hair is very flat. Even with black you still need highlights and he could use more of the shade in this hair if you are trying to mimic the rtp. And unless you are using just the head his shirt arm thing and and arms also need shade and highlight.

Yep. I see what you mean. But like I said, it's like only 30% done, or maybe not even. I'm still working on it. What I want for people to comment is mostly on the face. I just wanna make sure that I'm not wasting my time with this if it's not even quite close with the rtps.

And you'll need more color beside the eye when you resize it. I know from doing your up haired one ^^;; and assuming since it will be cut off at the neck you don't need to know that your neck shading need to be less square.

What I think is, people SHOULD make more comments on posts like this. That's why these kinds of posts are here in the first place. They need an analysis so they'd know whether if it's good enough, or if it needs improving. It's not that hard to leave a simple comment saying, "it looks good" or "it lacks something"... A few comments wouldn't suffice because it won't have that much critiques or compliments. Look how many views posts like this have and yet only few replies. They could at least add something and not just be "I don't have anything to say..."

Besides, you never know. Maybe if these kinds of posts had enough good comments, they might make a workshop too and it would surely be good for people who needs these kinds of stuff...

I'm not saying this just for this post, but in general.
