[VX] Character Face Sets; Not right size?

This may be THE NOOBIEST question ever posted on RMXP.org, but:
When I have a Face Portrait imported into RMVX, like this:

And I go to select it, its WAY too big for RMVX AND the selection square is (rectangle? ), like this:

Please help me!?

Thanks in Advance,

Here's a way to do it. VX selects its face graphic with an edited face set. Each face set that comes with VX has a width of 384 pixels and a height of 192 pixels. Each "face" in the set separately divides into a width of 96 pixels and a height of 96 pixels. Basically 96 X 96. Each grid is 32 X 32.

What you need to do is resize your graphic; if you have photoshop/gimp you can set individual grids to aid you. Below, there should be an example to help guide you whether or not you have photoshop or gimp.
