Voice Program?

I'm just curious if there is a program that you can type in a word or sentence and the program could say it back and could possibly allow the user to modify the voice. This would be like something for voicing or something along those lines...just curious (if it does exist probably costs, but just wondering  :thumb: )

To sum it up: Instead of actually saying and recording, the computer will make out the words and can say them back with a modified voice that that the user made.

~I don't even know if a program such as this exists...but doesn't hurt to ask  :lol:~

do you mean text-to-speech with user-created voices? or what i don't understand this. there are tons of text-to-speech programs - windows comes with one and at&t has a pretty good one[url] - but i'm not aware of any that let you MAKE YOUR OWN VOICE if that's what you're looking for.

If you need a singing software, VOCALOID 1 or 2 are good options. http://www.vocaloid.com/

vocaloid is only meant for japanese syllables, i believe. i think it DOES work for english words, but that's not what it was made for, so it's not as good at them. i'm not sure any voice synthesizing software will be totally believable tho.

Wouldn't it be easier to just get a mic and read off the words yourself? Besides this would take alot of space for a XP project, if that is what you are going to use it for.

I have heard of a program called Speakonia that does text to speech. I am unsure if it has a singing voice on it, however.
