Yeah, I wanted to try my hand at making a Vivi walking sprite.
This was my first sprite so I based it off of another Vivi sprite.

I made mine while having the other sprite beside it, so its prolly a lot better that what it would have looked like on its own.
Anyway here he is:

And here he is without his hat XP:
<img src=http://a965.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/14/l_fb16174875e9543a6d1d24013e091fb4.gif>
I'm not sure if I did it the right way, but I didn't use black lines for outlines (like the sample), instead I used darker colored borders.
I'd like critiques on how he looks before I attemp spriting the other 15 poses for the walking animation.
Also, if I could get some pointers on how to do the walking sprites it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
ps. Is there anyway to upload photos to display without having to create an account at things like photobucket?
::Update::
Thanks everyone for your comments.
Here's the update:

I put them in order from which I worked on: the left one is the unedited original; the two middle ones are my first attempt at 3/4 perspective
without and with working on color, respectively; the right one is the last one I worked on, trying to properly scale him compared to other RTP characters, while working on colors.
I having trouble getting the level detail that I see in other sprites, but I'm not sure quite how to fix it.
I'm working on coloring the far right one properly before I start on the animation, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
