Viewport or window resolution

Ok, maybe this question has been asked 100 times.. I tried searching for the answer on threads but could never find a clear one.

I am happy with the sprites...32x32 tiles..ect... but the game.. when i play it.. would like it to be 800x600..I think that would be called viewport.. with all menu's layed out..in right spots.. no black areas..

640x480 blown up to fullscreen mode looks just nasty.

is this possible to do within the engine itself, or does it require a script? if so.. wich scripts work best?

I have a working Resolution script (uses Sewlyn's API). I can change the resolution to about anything I want, but at the same time, the graphics need to be updated and you need to redo all the scenes and such. It is one of my projects to make kits for games to work with 384*288, 800*608 & 1024*768 kits.

I am going to redo all the windows and scenes for these classes, so you can start a new project under one of these resolutions. However, any scripts you add with custom scenes will need to be remade.

My best guess is these kits will all be finished in a few weeks.
