Variety of questions

Hey guys, I've got a bunch of question questions.

First, with regards to text during battles, for some reason, it's super laggy while the text appears.

Second, how can you make a steal skill?

Third, how can you make a scan skill?

Fourth, and this is the big one, I would like to implement a career system where if you have it equipped it gives you a specific skill while it's equipped. I have a common event with a large chain of conditional branches, but it understandably slows down the game considerably and I need a way around it.

Thanks to all in advance!

One thing I'd like to ask is about the common event thing.

How many branches? I do a lot of things by events and I've never managed to slow a game down with a common event.

You could try using Zeriab's Anti Event Lag System for removing lag from multiple events, I'm not sure if that'll work in this instance however.

As for a steal script, try looking at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=61152

What do you mean by a scan script? Please explain more.

Do you mean scan as in see an opponent's health and/or other information on an opponent? If so you're probably gonna need to find a script for that one as well. I can't think of one right off hand but I'm sure the FF fans have one written somewhere. Assuming thats what you're looking for.

I'm using XP, and that script is for VX, not sure if it makes a difference, but I tried it and can't seem to get it to work.

As for what I mean by scan, all I need is the enemy's name, health, and weaknesses/resistances
