Vampire Sprite

I made this sprite recently for a game I'm making. I just wanted your opinion on it.
This is supposed to be a vampire. He is in a situation that requires him to go outside a lot, so he wears this outfit to cover his skin while he's out in the sun.

Its good... good. Except, vampires suck blood.

Vampires are usually (sort of) pale and have eyes that... that... are almost squinting and with a purple underline under their eyes. :shades:. Plus they would wear shades in daylight to make them look cool and block their eyes.
Also under normal C&C, the hair isnt shaded and the hat is strangely shaded. Otherwise, not bad.

Too much black. Dark reds, pruples, and browns can do all the things black can do, and with added depth.

The eyes are a tad inappropriate, looking too childish or innocent; unbecoming of someone in such GRIMDARKSHADOWY attire.

The outlines on the clothes are too dark compared to the fill colours, and the lack of visible hair in the front followed by the sudden appearance of shoulder-length hair leads me to believe this vampire has a mullet. Some shading would do wonders, too. I take it this is a WIP?

Are we talking about the same kind of vampire. I've never heard of vampires with squinting eyes and purple eye liner. Unless you are thinking of oriental lore vampires, transylvanian vampires are mostly slightly pale, with cold eyes (blue, maybe sometimes a warm red). They don't walk in the day as they would turn to ash. They are aristocratic and carry themselves high. Not all have white hair. Some can look plain as any other character.

@BlakAdder - Thats for the more modern style vampire. You can go with the traditional vampire (i.e. Dracula), but in the end its your call. The RTP has a monster that resembles the vampire. Its a good base considering it has that oriental touch to it.

Do some research on it. you'd be surprised at the different types of vampires there are.

I think you should redo the hat. Its weird the way his head squeezes into a small hat. I don't notice it with the front and back view, but the hair on the side views goes straight up to the rim of the hat which makes me question the shape of his head. So yeah, bigger hat. And don't forget to put a shadow on his face that comes from the hat, thats important too.

It's nice and I don't think you need to make it pale as that's just a stereotype! You could be going for vampires lik out of Blade where they look like normal humans, they just tend to stay away daytime!

If the larger hat looks stupid then try removing it all togeather and add some more depth to the hair! :thumb:

It looks more like Michael Jackson than a vampire. No offense. Oh, and Vampires generally have straight hair. Just to point that one out.
