Two Questions

My first question: Okay. I need a way to make a sparkle. A sparkle that shows where an item is.(If you still don't understand, it is like the sparkle on the pokemon colloseum games that shows where hidden items are.) I need this because I have a part in my game where you have to find items throughout the characters house. I don't really want people to be spending very much time here because nothing really happens untill after this. Is there anyway to make an event or use scripting to make this happen?

My second question: I downloaded some sprites off of the internet the other day. The sprite pics have a green background. The problem is that when I try to use them in the game, the area around the sprite is still green. Same thing when I try to use them in the battle. The character pic still has the same background color. Anyone know how to fix this problem.

Thanks to anyone who helps.

P.S. I can post some screen shots if needed.

This one is easier. For the first, all you have to do is make a parallel process event directly above the event that gives the player an item or whatever. The event should have Move Route: Down, and then turn on Self Switch A, and then make Page 2 with the Sparkle graphic, and the settings Always on Top, Animated, Lock Direction or whatever.

For the second part, just try exporting and/or reimporting the graphics until it lets you choose the Transparent color.

I hope this helps. Peace!

I just got my animation uploaded and when I test the Sparkle, it won't move to the correct position. I don't know why it is doing this.

If you look in the Screen shot, the arrow shows where it is supposed to move to, with the boxes being the different events. I have tried to move the event on all the sides but it doesn't work.

When you put the "Set Move Route..." command, you can see an option called "Through ON" (it's on the 3rd column). So the spark can move through non-passable tiles.

Tell us if it worked.
