Twitter PHP XML Feed

How the heck do I make a simple feed of twitter statuses with PHP as XML using this API https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user ... e=xilefian ???

Absolutely ZERO of the online examples (Even those on PHP's own website) work on my server. At all.

Has anyone done this before?

i've made a twitter feed, but not as xml, just a regular feed, like on http://cpibc.nl/ and http://keesmakers.nl/

I can get twitter's thing to work, but I want more customisation control

Still has very little control over customisation, but it's do-able.
