Turn off windowskins (solved)

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

I'm building some custom menus - using images for the background and not using windowskins. However I can't seem to find out how to turn the windowskins off. Using a transparent window skin also seems to be unsatisfactory.

So is there a simple line of code to remove the windowskin from a particular window.

Add this line somewhere in the code, preferably in the def initialize area;

 

self.opacity = 0

Hey thanks it's better than using a transparent windowskin... the problem I'm having though, is that the borders at the edge are black and cut out my image menus. Do you know how to turn off these boreders?

set line 182 in window_message to 0

i have no border or background color by doing that

and if youre talking about the edge of the screen, ive noticed if you try to show an image within a window, it cuts it off where the window would end, not at the edge of the screen like youd think, i just do full 640x480 images with my stuff set within a blank image to where i want it to show on screen

To get rid of the black background in menus:

@spriteset = Spriteset_Map.new

@spriteset.dispose

In the usual spots (i.e. where you declare windows and dispose windows)
