Tree(Maybe for a tileset i will make)

One thing I can say, because I am no spriter, but it is blatant here, is that you lack shadow tones. The highlights seem to stand out alot. This critique is coming from my artist's point of view, not a spriter.

I recently read a tutorial about spriting wood. I got reminded of it by watching your picture, and I don't know, but it might be helpful. Here it is.
Point is, it just looks like a bunch of pixels, rather than really like a tree. How about you also try to make the outline of the leaves green instead of black(?).

I'm gonna be frank...
I don't like it, don't take it to heart, but man...
Umm, don't use different colors everywhere, thats not how to sprite. Pick 3, 4, 5, or 6 different shades of green and brown, then start on the left side with the lightest color, and gradually add the darker colors as you move right...

Its a good start but it feels like its leaning to one side which is a little odd. Also you may want to vary your colours a bit more, that might help bring it out.

Other then the things people already said, your lightest highlight on the tree is way to light
and, yeah, you have way to many shades.

Start with a really dark green(for the leaves) or a dark brown(for the trunk) in the pallet you want and use it for the outline. Then pick ONE shade, thats much lighter, for the main colour of you want. Then pick maybe two darker and two lighter shades
from the main colour and use them for shading and highlights, anymore then that is over doing it.

Oh, and don't use the lightest colour you have for more then a few pixels in a few places no matter what. :)

I should've mentioned that!! Good point Dawne...

It's looking better. You might want to add more branches, some in the back, and extended the leaves out and behind the trunk to show depth.
