Tree 3D render

I think the model itself is pretty good, but I think the color needs to be darkened and the shading and lighting needs to be a bit less dramatic.

looks like you took a candle and dripped the wax over and over on it until you created a wax tree.

I dont know... looks a little... meatish to me ^_^

It looks like someone chewed, and spit-up a tootsie-roll.

Maybe if there were another branch it would look even more tree-ish. Not that it doesn't already look good.

My first thought was WOW.

My second was Needs a texture.

My third was plastic toy tree, or a detailed model (Like action figure playset.. but for fanboys.)

Really, it looks cool. It could be useful for someone's 3d movies or something.

Kinda reminds me of a tree off of Shrek or something.

I know as a fellow Zbrush user that yeah it's the default texture + Lighting settings and I can see past that to what looks like a well rendered model!! I'm interested as to the way you model, is I believe it's easier (in Zbrush) to make a basic low-poly version of object and adding more faces and detail as I go along

I think it's better (but this is just my opinion), to create a low poly model in 3ds Max, Blender, Maya, or whatever you use, and then export it to Zbrush. Although I prefer the smoothing algorithms of 3ds Max more than ZBrush, (but that's my opinion). Once you export it, don't use only the brushes, add some alphas and you'll have many cool details. Once you are satisfied, you can export it as .obj back to 3ds Max and bake the texture (using the render to texture function) to the low poly version. This will make some cool normal map that you'll add to the mapping of the tree, Then work on some planes and using alpha channels create some leaves and multiply them until it looks good. That's all

It does look meaty ... I think it's pretty awesome. Tree made of meat! My dreams have been realized :'3~

You're so dirty!

As for the tree, it looks good besides the texture! Not alot of branches but still...
