Tournament Epica
Story
This game follows the journey of you, a well-travelled lancer, who has just finished setting up his new apartment in a recruitment-room style. There is a massive tournament coming up within the next two weeks, (Tournament Epica) and you are desperately scrambling together a team of people with which you plan to win the tournament, adding another achievement to your long list of successes.
You have to get armour and weapons, level up, learn skills, recruit more team members, work out a strategy and find funding for it all, all with in these two weeks. (five real hours.) But you don’t just buy armour, you have to also provide the ores, which you have to hire a miner to get. Money doesn’t just appear, you have to earn it, by killing monsters or by trekking through the Great Maze. Hire a fisher or fish for yourself, then use their scales to make enchanted arm-bands with all sorts of powers.
How well will you do? Find out when you play Tournament Epica.

You, the skilful hero
You play as a warrior who has travelled many lands, embarked on many quests, become skilled in many forms of combat and has saved the world many times. Right now you’re developing your lance technique, and so use it as your weapon for the tournament. You come from a land far away, but have set up base in a very diverse town to find people to help you in Tournament Epica.
Fama Lee, the caring, female white mage
All Fama asks of you is that before she joins your team, she has some time to go and talk to her parents. This is more of an ordeal than you’d think as they live far away. If you do fund her trip and have the patience to wait for her to return, you will see that Fama Lee’s main role is as the healer, and she does a fine job as one too.
Kent Getowt, the long lost adventurer
Kent is a well-known explorer who used to embark into the long and confusing Great Maze everyday to hunt for treasure and try to work out the code for the Loot Lock, behind which lies treasure beyond your wildest imagination. One day, he left a note on his front door saying he may have worked it out, but was never seen again. A shame that is, as he was a great swordsman and magician, and he used to combine these two talents to form a unique battle style.
Winter Flake, mage on ice
Winter is a professional snowslider. Snowsliding is a sport, much like skiing, but where your feet are magically enchanted to slide across the snow rather than using skis. If you prove to her that you have some raw talent in the sport, you will find her ice and speed based magic quite useful. (Ice and speed - sounds very magical, doesn’t it?)
Sly, the man who’s name says it all
Sly is a well trained thief. Getting his assistance may involve bending the law just a bit, but once he’s under your belt it should all seem worth it. Sly can use his sneaky skills to fetch you some extra loot. He has high speed, but low stats in everything else. Most of his attacks center around stealing or gaining sleath.
George McTrout, the Gobi fish enthusiast and master swordsman
Mr. McTrout has an unhealthy obsession with fish, especially Gobi fish. Having said that, he lacks the patience for fishing, so if you wish to recruit him, your best bet is probably to find the rare fish, which is no mean feat. George McTrout’s sword skills and speed are great, but he lacks defence which can mean a quick defeat for him.
Georgia Ruddson, aspiring politician
This want-to-be president in a monarchy world is trying to spark a revolution, and could need a bit of help. Georgia Ruddson’s magic has great effect on enemies, just as her speeches have on her audience, inflicting a variety of states.
Mrs. Marsh, the evil overlord… of the miners
Persuading this nasty character to join your team will be tricky. You’ll need to find something to use against her, but she is rich, owns a successful mining business and has plenty of people working under her. If she joins you team, you’ll find her battle style similar to her work ethnics- always have someone else do your dirty work. She flaunts this with her summoning skills.
Gobbles, the non-human recruit
Gobbles is a goblin, as his name so inspiringly suggests. Recruiting this character won’t be an ordeal to remember. You simply have to beat him at his favourite game, Human-Goblin, or as we know it, Tic-Tac-Toe. Whilst not very defensive, his style involves soaking up damage for your other characters. His persistence means he can’t be defeated unless he is on one HP, making him a perfect scapegoat.
