Title Screen Issues

I was told that I could use MP3 formatted songs in the game. I uploaded some music to my game and tried to play it in the title screen and its nothing but silence. Even when I try to test it in the Data, it produces no sound.

My other problem is the picture I was as the background, I cant figure out how to center it. Any ideas?

Okay, did you try playing the MP3 before hand?

If so, and it worked, did you try playing it in RPG Maker XP? It could of glitched.

If you tried to convert a WMA into a MP3 it will not play;

Have you tried rather then editing the ruby code to actually go on system under Database and Change it there not in the script?

Hope that helps.

I've been thinking though... when I play test the game... it only shows at like a quarter screen. Maybe when the game is done and its full screen then it will look correct.

I'm still having problems with the song though.

Okay yeah, for your centering issue your image is too big, make sure it's 640 x 480. There's no other logic explenation, unless you messed with the script base (stupid idea if you don't know what you're doing). As for your mp3, try playing the song in the Sound Check in rmxp and make sure the volume is at its max. If it still doesn't work, upload the mp3 file here and I will debug it.

Does it work in Windows Media Player or some other music-playing program outside of RMXP? Are you sure it's in the right folder and everything?

And for centering pictures, just mess around with the "X" and "Y" coordinates. It might take awhile, but that's how you set it there. (In case you're wondering about the "center" command in the "Show Pictures", it doesn't center the picture in the middle of the screen. It sets the center of the picture to the coordinates (0,0), and you have to still change the x and y to make it in the center of the screen.)

I was able to get the picture centered and all, but I'm still having trouble with the BGM. I have it uploaded in the right folder, and it works in my Windows Media Player. I dont know why it won't work on the program.

For Audio files, don't use the materials manager. Just copy the file into the appropriate
Audio subfolder.  Materials manager can honk up the files.

I wonder what Audio player the game engine is using?
Can you play your MP3 (the one in the Audio/BGM folder) in Windows Media Player? (oops, you answered this already.)
Is the Bit Rate on the file too high?  > 128kbs
