The yellow font is odd, it doesn't match the color scheme of the rest of the image. As a cursor, you could use like a dot (that's the simplist thing I can think of) but it could also be vastely different depending on the story.

what kind of text should i use?
what color?

What is the game about... that might give me a better idea for a cursor... what is unique about this game or what is a main focus throughout the game.

Text: I think either the menu text needs to be a pink or purple, or the Title text needs to be recolored Gold to match the menu text.

If you're going to use a sword, you have to make sure it matches in "talent" (horrible word, but I can't think of another one) as the whole thing does, or it doesn't look as good. And for the text, try a purple color like the background.

I didn't want to be mean or anything but if I hadn't notice before and after pics, your "New Story" "S" doesn't look like an S, just to let you know, I mean it looks beautiful but to me a little out of place. in a way it reminds me of a partially unfinished cursive L.

Plus the fact if you have one entry New Story and the rest the second word doesn't have a capital letter, it seems really noticable. just thought I point that out. I think they should all keep the same consept, and if your really good, for a crusor, to add on a special effect, make the word your highlighting glow. in the same color I think that would look relaly beautiful for that pic.

Make the text for the New Story, etc options the same color that is used for 'Gideon.' Just remove the Bevel & Emboss. If you don't want the options matching the title text then use something similiar to that just brighter or darker.

I love it. I think that the sword cursor looks a little too bright. Also, the "New Story" has a capital S in the "Story" but the "Remember story" doesn't.

It looks nice, but that S in story still doesn't look like an S.

Change "New Story" to "Begin", and "Remember Story" to "Bookmark". That would be alot better.
New Story and Remember Story sound pretty cheesy.

It'd also look good with darker purple letters with a soft white glow around them.

EDIT: Oh, and change the sword into a feather-pen.

Close Book Option the B in Book isn't captialize. Just thought I mention it, it looks really great so far but that S still doesn't look like a S, what font are you using anyway?
