Title event

Hi guys, I need a tutorial to an event (and a demo)
for a title screen that instead of the title screen the title screen will be on a map with
a picture that has on it:
New game
Load
Quit
and I will be able to move a cursor with the arrows and select the options.

Just to clarify:  Do you want to change the background picture, which is so easy it barely needs an explanation, possibly with also changing appearance of the window, which isn't that much harder? 

Or do you want to really change things, using a fancy font for the window, perhaps, or making the window part of the background art or something?

Sorry for the return questions, but the first two are just matters of changing the title and windowskin art, which are simple swaps in XP.

From whaty I can gather, he wants an evented map title screen. There is a script that can do this in VX on the first page of the Script Archive, I believe.

I've already posted a script to do this in a similar thread within the last month. Although, that simply replaced the title screen with Game_Map, instead of using an edited version of the title screen.
 
If you want to do that with events, then you have to learn about variables and conditional branches first. I think I have the same thing you're talking about in my game, where instead of the text box showing the choices you have pictures to do that. If you want I can send you an unencrypted part of my game so you can look through the events there and see how I did it.

I got one of these to work once... let me see if I cant find it...

Basically I had the game skip the original title screen thing, and I had a map of a large bustling city as the background with several images above that that had the new game, continue, etc... on it.  I did that so I could have the people in the city background move (even if they did loop ^_^ ) and also so my camera could move throughout the city.
