Tileset E and importing for ready use. (plain english please.)

Hey everyone,

Well, I would like some help with importing my custom tilesets or graphics, sprites, BGMs BGS, etc. I know this is done under the Resource Manager, and I import them after editing them with Photoshop (not that great at it, I'm a beginner) but there is a red dot next to them and I can't seem to use them (they are not in my tileset tabs on the main map editing screen.

I've looked all around and can't seem to find a plain english explanation. Can anyone explain this to me as you would a child?

I'd much appreciate your help.

Thanks.

P.S.~ I'd also like some help with how to make and USE custom text boxes.

Thanks again,

Drerius

Alright, Drerius.  First off, you shouldn't ever have to ask for simplified help.  Just let people know that you're new with rmxp/vx and they should have the common sense to go easy on you.

Next order of business.  Tilesets are a pain in the rear, my friend.  I hate using custom tilesets because you have to set the passage tags and so on.  What you want to do, is open your resource manager and make sure that they're in there.  If not, you can either drag the file in using the window, or use the resource manager to import.

Oh man....  you know what?  I just realized you were using VX.  I've never done it with vx, but it can't be too different from xp.  Actually... you know what?  I'm going to go turn on my other computer and figure it out for you.  I'll edit this post in ten minutes and finish this.
