You Are Pissing Off Venetia, Stop It! FAQ
Q. Why are people making Venetia angry?
A. This is actually a befuddling question, because there simply is no logical answer. Venetia is a sweetheart with physical features that are heralded by the great nymphs and goddesses of land to be of a beauty that defies the boundaries of any utterance of language. Also she puts out, a lot. Why anyone would jeopardize this arrangement of good things is beyond us.
Q. Why is Venetia angry?
A. Venetia is angered that Resource Request and Script Request boards are being spammed by requests that are not descriptive at all. Not only are there bad requests but some members have taken to encouraging bad requests by filling them.
Q. So what's the problem with that?
A. When Venetia gets angry she stops sharing pornographic photos of herself on the staff forum, which is fucked up in its own right since a few of the staff members are minors, but to each their own. Anyway, moderators like myself need steady streams of pornography in order to stay in the peaceful zen like state needed to make rational decisions. To put it bluntly no Venetia Porn means people get banned for trivial reasons.
Q. Wait, Banned?
A. Yes, from now on we will be warning members that post a thread without enough details only once to check the rules and include the proper details. They will be told publicly that if they post another request that isn't descriptive they will be temp-banned for seven days. We set up a warn thread just for this issue so that our follow through is always on the money.
Q. Don't you think that's harsh?
A. No, not really. The vast majority, like 98.9% of these folk, never contribute on any other part of the board. They don't join the community. They just leech resources from the talented people that are part of this community. Anyway if you have any other questions just peruse this announcement thread for more details.

Despain and Kav have been hard at work coding a new download manager for the website. Now Despain has released a few mockups and a descriptive thread for what's coming down the pike in those regards. No date as of yet of when the manager will be finished, but you can rest assured that it will be awesome when it is finished.

To make a long story short Doctor kept complaining about wanting to be an irc op again, so after some prodding he cybered with Despain and he was broken in as a minion of RMXP.org's Evil Dominion. His territory is RM Discussion so make sure you give him the due respect someone who has cybered with Despain deserves. Congrats Doctor!
Also Arbiter is now the moderator of General Discussion, but really who gives a shit other than Sixty who is an Anglophile good-lookin dude?
Early Project Development
This week I am pleased to show off two well polished thread that show off everything we expect out of a good early project thread.
Shattered Gear is shaping up to be a decent mecha based rpg. His characters are still pretty vague and stockish development wise, but with some helpful feedback from the community those issues can be easily sharpened. I actually was planning on posting some feedback in this thread since I hate to see good threads fall under the weight of other lesser threads. Keep an eye on it. I know threads like this have a lot of reading, but you don't have to read it all in one sitting. Give 'em some feedback so they can make it the best game it can be.
Tales of the Phoenix seems to be your classic magical adventure RPG. It's current character sketches make it a very promising piece of work. Each character has a well written dynamic history and background details that should make for some very dynamic and interesting characters. He even has some concept art to chew on. Recently he has added a plot rundown which I look forward to reading. This is the kind of thread that I point to when people ask me how they should aspire to make their Early Project threads.

Summer Blockbuster Contest Bombs
This makes me want to wear a bag over my head. We had ONE entry! It takes you folks longer than two weeks to make a five minute cut scene? Not only was it one entry, but it was an utter piece of garbage made 44 minutes before the contest closed. Its really disappointing since it was such a unique and fun contest idea. Oh well, you try to do something to liven the community... Anyway enjoy your winner.
The Good Doctor posted his latest review of Lucid Awakening.
Script Analysis
Compact Menu by The Sleeping Leonhart is another nice looking cms that has been getting some raves but no serious criticism as of yet. It looks nice all said and done, though.
VX Minimap is a script made by Woratana that as the name implies provides the player with a little minimap in the corner of the screen, while you are dungeon crawling. It looks rather nice and has some nice flexible features like be able to set it on an on off switch.
Other Entertainment
In case you haven't heard, Dark Knight is out in theaters now and has been heralded by the masses as the greatest Batman film of all time. The amount of hype after the release catapulted it to Number 1 movie of all time on IMDB, which frankly I find ridiculous given that it is a comic book movie meant to be a shallow comic book action thriller. I'm sure it delivers, but frankly I doubt it beats Citizen Kane as a piece of art.
Art and Graphics
Like any good artist Badmonur is looking for feedback on his latest WIP under the working title,
Freakishly muscular old guy with unnaturally long arms. Like all his work it is of high quality and worth a look just to gawk at, but if you have some artistic brains he would love constructive feedback.
