Forgiving the fact that Ninja and Penguin have forever been "random" words, loved by lovers of "random", I actually thought Jaberwoky's Ninja Penguins stood out this week. It's a repost of a very old topic. The graphics may not be awfully pleasing to the eye but they are completely custom and the author is no longer trying to match them to the RTP, which definately works in the game's favour.
I thought it worthy of a mention anyway. It hasn't had any replies so far.
EVENTING
Kipe has posted a minimap for RMXP which you may like to look at. It's plug and play and apparently uses a unique system of erm... making it plug and play. I'm not sure of the specifics since I don't think the "RMRK+" system has much prevalence here, nonetheless RMXP Minimap is the topic.
TUTORIALS
Miles Castea has posted a tutorial for creating an evented menu system, something which has little fame now, but in the days of RM2k/3 was seen as outstanding. Just goes to show you can do a lot of powerful stuff with events.
GAME DEVELOPMENT DISCUSSION
Ganstaqua5000 has posted an interesting thread for discussion - The Eleven Video Game Commandments. Why not expand on them, or use them in your games?
RGSS/2 SCRIPTS
Kain Nobel once again shows his scripteroscoptomism, with his Critical condition state script. Something I would have found useful a while back.

Quite frankly you'd be insane not to visit Aolist's art thread, and even more insane not to like every single piece. Check it out of you haven't already. We thought she'd only come back when pigs - oh.

Rated asks, Gay or Straight? Personally I'd only bat for the other team if pigs flew - oh.

Oh. It didn't quite have the party atmosphere I'd hoped. Frankly, since they don't eat pigs, there's no chance of a Jewish folk catching swine flu (nb: don't sue me). They'll have a good party when pigs fly! - oh. Well, celebrate, even if it is a tad late!
