These magic moments...

Yesterday was again one of these days...
I usually experience them twice a year, in spring and in fall.
I opened my windows looked outside and smelled it. It smelled like fall.
I automatically got a feeling of relieve and became all calm, went outside and enjoyed the day, the blue sky with no clouds and the wind, put on a thin jacket, because the wind is quite fresh.

I become sentimental because it always reminds me of the time when I was little, went to elemantary school and didn't recognize these beautiful days back then, but now I always look back at these very moments.
I look back and see how carefree I was and that I'm now grown up.
Same in spring when the most snow is gone and the sky is blue and no clouds can be seen and it smells like spring.

It's just comlete heaven for a moment, I forget all the stress I may had the other day or what I have to do for tomorrow and can relax a bit. I feel refreshed afterwards and it gives me new power.
(This sounds wierd but it's these moments that just touch me somehow, it's strange...)
This happens every year now, but I have the feeling it get's less intensive the older I get.

Have you ever experienced something similar? Did you found an object you haven't seen for a long time, looked at and it and felt this feeling of inner peace?
Or are you watching the full moon and feel the serenity?
What are your "magic moments"?

Standing outside on my porch to have a cigarette, a gust of wind blew past me and it seemed to calm me down. I was very upset when I went outside for that cigarette, but when the wind blew through my hair, I no longer wanted to smoke...I just wanted to stand there and enjoy the breeze. It was like it blew all my worries away, if only for a moment.

Moments like the one you mentioned are precious. = )

I agree, there really does seem to be something about the wind. I went on a cruise in April, and at about 2am I went to the very very very front of the boat to chill out. It was in the caribbean so it was pretty warm, but the wind was blowing crazily. It felt amazing. I looked up at the night sky, and since I was so far from the lights of the main part of the boat, it felt like I could see every star up there. All I could see forever was the pitch black ocean and a swimming, navy-blue sea of stars overhead, and with the wind literally blowing my hair flat backward it was so strong, it was like I was flying. I was the only one out there, too, so the moment was all my own.

I never wanted to step away-- and I actually felt bad when I did. I didn't like the cruise hugely (Cozumel was AWESOME but Carnival overall isn't very impressive), but I'll take that experience with me to the grave.

Sitting on the porch at 2 am with my bare feet on the railing getting rained on while the lightning strikes so bright I reflectively squint my eyes.
There's not always someone sitting on the porch with me, but if there is someone there's always some weird kind of deep empathetical conversation going on. It's cleansing. Even when you feel like you've hit an all time low.

For me it's wind and rain, hand in hand. A light rain, complete cloud cover, and a cool breeze is all it takes to make me calm down. That's even when I do my best writing. :)

There are some mornings where it's cold and clear and just really familiar, and I'm instantly reminded of when I was young enough that my mom or dad still stood with me at the bus stop and waved at me while I rode away.

Makes me kind of nostalgic.

Everytime I can watch the night sky and the stars away from noise and Earth light and expecially alone (or with a, hehe, partner) are the most magic moments to me. It boosts my mind into a deep philosophying state about universe and our existence, the star lights with the empty black background hypnotise me for some minutes, I don't even react to anything (unless its pain :x). In the end, I feel very very relaxed and mind refreshed, as If I have slept a couple of hours.
I also like it when the moon lights the night so much I can actually see very well in the dark, but it is not a normal light, it's a white light, you see white, it's fkn awesome and magic too.

Lying on the beach at dusk, feeling the calm wind and watching the sunset and seagulls.

Looking out the window at New Year's Eve, 5 am and staring at the moon.

Running up the slope near my house in the heavy rain with a very special friend...
