I actually liked this movie alot. Many cliche'd elements I thought would be present weren't, which is one of my biggest pet peeves, and the ending was very different. The way it was built up, I kept thinking it was going to be another "Deux Ex Machina", but surprisingly, it wasn't.

I'd add more, but then I'd end up spoiling it. So you'll have to watch it yourself to see.

I really reccomend this movie, it's one hell of a creeper.

Wickerman + Hollywood = Turd

I really would not recommend this, i didnt really enjoy the original one but since i'm a film student i can respect why it was so well praised but why did Hollywood think hey lets mess it all up and remake it and then post trailers with footage that wasn't even in the movie when it was released.

The totally messed up the Mis-En-Scene in the movie....didn't even feel like the same thing....thats my opinion on it.

He probably should come back and specify, cause that will have a big impact on the discussion. I thought the original movie was great (stunt arse and all), and the remake looked like something of a turd.

I never saw the origional. But I liked this remake one because it was alot different then the normal "good guy always wins" cliche. That, and I like Nicholas Cage.

However, his ex was terrible, and the stunt acting and fighting bits were pretty crappy. But I did enjoy it.

I liked the original, plus infamously good soundtrack. I can't even bear to go and see the new one, the adverts for it look so awful.
