Spoiler: Beginning Story

You wake up in a dark dungeon cell, you have no clue where you are, what you are doing there, or even…who you are. A girl standing in the corner sees you stirring around on the floor. “Rio!” she exclaims, “I thought you were a goner.” You ask who she is. She says that her name is Tara. Then she asks, “You really don’t remember me!?” You tell her, “No, I don’t understand anything right now. Where are we?” “Well,” she says, “we are in Muskabar Prison. The Protectors, a religious group of Malikites devoted to pleasing and keeping faith in their so-called “gods”, have erased parts of your memory and threw you in jail because you had led a military resistance against them after learning their horrible secret motivator for keeping people in their faith.” “You have to be kidding me. How come I don’t remember any of this?” you ask. The Protectors have inside access to state funds. They use this money to research all sorts of secret technologies in order to keep the faith within the Delevins. I guess they have developed an enhanced brain-wipe machine, but I think they took it a little overboard,” she replies. “Why are you in here too?” you ask. “I led a protest to try and get The Protectors to release you,” she answers. You point out that you both need to get out of the jail in order to expose the truth about the Delevin Faith and The Protectors.
You will embark on a mission of epic proportions, learning about the history of The Protectors and gaining valuable information on how to infiltrate their ranks and find out the terrible secrets of their “worship.”

Character Traits: strong willed, unrelenting, passionate, trustworthy, a tad over-aggressive
Description: The main character in the game. An outspoken apprentice blacksmith who stumbled upon a terrible secret and is now being punished for it.

Sex: Female
Character Traits: very trustworthy, dislikes physical conflict, prefers diplomacy
Description: Rio's closest friend. She is also very outspoken and despises The Protectors. She is willing to die to expose whatever terrible truth there is about them.

Sex: Male
Character Traits: wise, honest, book-smart
Description: Sefiar is Rio’s uncle and second closest friend. He is also the province’s scholar, making him extremely knowledgeable about the The Protectors.

Character Traits: corrupt, sneaky, quick, intelligent
Description: Len is the head Protector. He will do whatever possible to “keep the faith.”

Description: Mac is Sefiar’s apprentice, and younger brother. He aspires to be just like Sefiar, but is lacking the brains, quickness, and sheer strength that his older brother possesses.

The amnesia thing just seems like a way for you to be lazy and not make a backstory cut scene, aside from it being a little overused. The actual story is rather interesting. I wish you had waited until you had more stuff to show before posting this.

Well, if you start getting somewhere with this I'll be watching it.

I just wanted to see if there would be any interest in it, from what I had so far, so thank you for your comments.

There will be a backstory cutscene, there just needs to be something that sparks his memory(later in the game).

I like what I see so far, but it's not too much... I'd like to know more about the plot, for a start.

Thanks, I know it isn't much, but the idea is that you find out things during the game.
You will find out most of the underlying plot in the the first released demo.
