the main character goes left, always

First, Hello everyone, i'm a bit new here, so please be gentle. :smile: I always wanted to make my own game and i am just starting to get to know the different program. i decied to make an rpg with rpg maker XP. i'll discuss the project later on in the appropriate forum.

Right now i'm just starting to get used to the program itself and to make sprite art for the game.

Here the problem everytime I go to test any map i make the character go left and i can only move him up for some reason. i was wondering if this has happened to anyone before? It also happen on fully made game.

It pretty bad, because i cannot test my maps that way.

You might want to check your keyboard in case it thinks your left arrow key is pressed. Try unplugging and replugging it.

Also, check your Device Manager. Sometimes the computer will think a gamepad that was once plugged in still is. A Restart usually resolves this.

Regi, Unka Josh: I have tryed both with game pad and not of disconnecting my keyboard, but nothing seem to work. Currently working on getting a temporary other keyboard to try to see if it is my keyboard. I also cleaned my key to make sure it not something the pressing the key.

I must also point that i have played some other game made with xp and some seem to have the same problem where other work perfectly.
Other game not made with xp, also work like a charm.

So that why i am confused.
