Well, as you might know... EVE online is a futuristic MMORPG.
I've read an article about a scam, which might be the biggest scam in the MMORPG history until now.

It's an old story, but it's still a story worth reading.
Take a good hour to read this.

i was playing EVE when this happened oh so while ago, a few years. hooooooly crap can i ever TELL you the mayhem..

this guy and his buddy literally dropped the servers economy by like 80-85% or something, EVERYONE was poor, there were MILLIONS of outlaws.. it was horrible.. this guy basically created what we nowadays call "Player Outlaw Pirates" or POPs, basically, PKers that pwn u and pod u and take all ur shit, well, they dont pod u, they're ussually nice enuf to just take ALL your credits and stuff etc, they pod u if u dont give them ur ISK...

what a scam it was.....

I currently play EVE with a couple of friends ans ISK are now more easy to come by. The 500k he did in a night, I do it in less than 30min. I heard of another scam netting 700 billion last week. Something about an investment bank...

If you want to read about much bigger EVE stuff, look into the Guiding Hand Social Club (that one got mentioned in PcGamer and a few other magazines) or the guy who ran an investment bank. I don't have the links handy but google pops them up with the right searches

Sandgolem, it was a HUGE scam for its time.. EVE was only like... what? less than a year old? making 50k in 30 mins meant u were LUCKY back then.. if u made 500k in 30 minutes then, ud be called a hacker.
