Take everything with a grain of salt. Don't start getting too excited over "absolute proof". No one (at least, the general public) is 100% sure what the sightings were, and unless we know for sure, it will always just be pure speculation.
Not to sound like a grumpy ol' skeptic here. I want definite proof of extra terrestrials as much as the next guy. But we shouldn't jump to conclusions over a few lights in the sky. There are still thousands of phenomenon we haven't discovered about our universe.
And besides, it's kind of like the "looking at the clouds" metaphor. If you're watching the clouds and trying to make shapes out of them, you could almost make a cloud seem like any shape or figure you wanted to, even if it really looked nothing like that.. Same with sightings like these. Someone could easily think they see fighter jets or similar objects in the sky, just because they want to see them so badly and want proof very much. So their mind tricks them into thinking these things.
Not to mention the fact that I want someone to explain to me how aliens could even get to Earth. I'm no astronomer, but I know that this universe is enormous, and if it takes over 8 minutes for light, the fastest stuff in the universe, to go from the Sun to Earth, and an estimated six months or so for humans to get to Mars, then how could beings from different universes get here with enough energy, food, etc. (robots? I dunno.)
I could be completely wrong here, (hell, I probably am!) but just think about the facts before making definite conclusions.
