Someone recently created a rather interesting new script for a mini-game of blackjack. The script works brilliantly but I felt if you can play blackjack, then why not be able to play other card games from the real world.
My favourite right now after having lost about £200 recently on it but still, after seeing Casino Royale has become Texas Hold 'Em, I always used to be more a five card stud man but this shows more skill in bluffing.
If someone can create this script I think it would be not only of great benefit to me and my addiction but also it might be helpful to other people.
The Rules of Texas Hold 'Em
There are four types of player:
- Dealer (If he plays)
- Big Blind
- Small Blind
- Normal Player
The Dealer always goes first if he is playing and obviously... deals the cards.
The Big Blind must put a larger starting amount into the pot.
The Small Blind must put a smaller starting amount than the Big Blind.
For the Blinds it is always a set amount by the dealer.
Normal players, just play.
Each player is given two cards that they (in some games can swap them for new cards once but in others...) keep for the rest of the game. The other players cannot see these cards.
The rest is simple, three cards are layed on the table for all to see. All of the players can use these three cards to make a hand of up to five.
The players place their bets.
The next card is drawn on the table along side the other three as a universal card for all players to see and use but only a max of five cards can be used in a hand.
Bets are raised.
The final card is drawn on the table.
Final bets.
Whoever has not folded and not seen the stakes will show their cards and the winner takes all in the pot.
The sets are the same as usual, Flush, Pair e.t.c.
