Tetra Master Vs. Triple Triad

If you've seen the last page or so od SephirothSpawn's Triple Triad script topic, you would know that there's been some... ehm... "Discussion" on which of the two card games, Triple Triad or Tetra Master (Quad Mist if you're a commie :D ), is better.

I'd like to know what the communtity thinks.

My personal preference, by far, is Tetra Master. Maybe you never know whether your card wins in a duel thing, but neither does the computer, and that makes for a very exciting game.

Actually, there is strategy in TM, since you gotta make sure you pick good cards, and then you have to study the field and find which things would help or hurt you. It's also about taking risks.

from what I remember, I far preffered the one in FF8 to the one in FF9, but preferred both so much more than blitz ball...and then that awful coin game in FFX-2, that was the worst of the lot. So the one from FF8 is Triple Triad right? That's better.

I actually knew how to play the one in FFVIII. God only knows what was going on in IX... I never understood it.

I liked both of them enough to get a big card collection in each game :)

I think Square went and made a seperate version of Tetra Master they were selling, anyone have a link with more info?

It was the opposite with me. I knew how to play Triple Triad, but it was confusing with all the different rules in different regions.

I didn't think you would actually make a topic of this. XD

I prefer TT over TM. Like ryanwh said, TM was more random than anything. It might be because I just played through FFIX and didn't follow any of the story, so I skipped the rules, but it was more just bing bang you lose with me.

Dang. That was one of the next mini-games coming up once I relearned the rules to it. ^_^

My Favs of the 4: Blitzball > Triple Triad > Sphere Break > Tetra Master

I liked the coin game, the only problem with it is it has a HUGE exploitation to it and once you figure it out its way too easy. But before you figure it out it can be really difficult.

Yeah, it comes with FF11, and it costs one dollar to play. It's totally online, with updated cards, enviromental obstacles, and a few other things (These include, FFX cards with almost every character model in FFX, yes, even those lame NPCs)

I likes ta be thorough, 'kay?

Blitzball's okay the first couple times you play, but then it gets a bit boring. Even though I did redo the ball thing on the ship to get the Jecht Shot and then played the tournament until I won...
