I'm not sure how to go about doing this so I'm just gonna try my best
I'm making a RPG with RPG Maker XP, and I really need any help I can get. Is anybody willing to help me?
The game is kind of like Kingdom Hearts, there's one big world and tons of people from all sorts of worlds living on it. People from movies, video games, and anime all litter the world.
The game has some complex stuff in it, but I have high hopes for it.
Here's the game idea---
A girl named Rayne and her Brother Zack (FFVII) live in a small house with their parents, the Ashfords. Rayne's father has told her stories about the Gods and a wish granter since she was a little baby, but Rayne thought they were all just stories. When she is injured badly and unable to leave her bed, being completely useless from the waste down and the smallest tasks sapping her energy, her parents decide to chase the old myth.
A few months after their parents leave, and Zack takes care of his sister, Rayne has an odd dream. In the dream her parents are murdered by a Strange Man, and a strange mage known as the Wish Granter appears in Rayne's room and tells her its up to her to bring her parents back with the one wish, only obtainable from fighting the Twelve Gods and taking their powers.
When Rayne 'wakes up' she see's a blinding light, and energy fills her body. A vision of the Wish Granter whispers a spell with the last of her power, healing Rayne. Are her parents really dead? Is the 'myth' about the wish and the elemental powers of the Twelve Gods true? Is she strong enough to fight the gods and bring her parents back if it is? Follow Rayne and Zack on their journey to find out!

I intend to make many party members that you can obtain, guilds, options to marry, dates with party members, arcade games, and more. A lot of the main party will rely on FFVII characters and Naruto characters.

Guys don't do this in concept development. It isn't an advertisement forum to get teammates. ~Mega Lenin

If this is your first project, please allow me to make the following suggestion:

Your first project will never, ever be as good as you'd like it to be. You'll learn a lot of things from working on it, though.

Therefore, don't make your Ultimate Dream Game your first project. Make a less-ambitious first project that'll let you get a feel for what you're doing, and then go back to your Ultimate Dream Game.

Yeah, listen to Unka Josh, I did the exact opposite, and my dream game failed badly, although I may end up remaking it someday, if I ever have the patience, as it was really well planned out, I thought the story was pretty decent, although a little cliché, but the mapping and events etc. sucked badly.

Yeah, thats why I wanted a team to help. Yeah, I have a few other games I think I'm gonna work on, and a draft of this one. I think I'll do my zobmie love story first :smoke: can't go wrong with lovestruck zombies

Let me tell you something about a gamedesign team.

A gamedesign team is a team of select people who all have something they're very skilled at. They motivate each other and are dedicated to making their project as best as they can. However they alo need a skilled leader to motivate them and keep them in tow. Most important of all, people want to see what you've done. They want a reason to join your team, they want a reason to work for you and dedicate themselves to your project.

What you've got here is a very rough draft for a game concept, and that's all. I'm not saying it's bad, but I can tell you right now alot of FFVII fanboys and haters will take the piss on your project, just for having Zack in it.

The piece of concept you got here is basically alright though, but save it for later. Make a not-too-hard game first, and try to have some form of uniqueness in it. By doing this, you are showing people that you have the dedication and motivation to complete a project, and at the same time you can show off what you can do.

When you've done that, and people enjoyed your game, and you've worked out the concept for above game, you can try to get a team again.
