Talking to NPCs.....

HEY EVERYONE!

I'm having a technical problem I think.. when I click on an NPC to talk to them, I have to click twice to get it to activate! Actually, this goes for all action button events. hmm...

Any solution?

Thanks a million.

RM XP?

If so, what are the event's options, trigger and what exactly do you have in the list of event commands?
Are any switches set?

I think it's generally the same procedure in VX, but I'm not sure.

maybe you could give me an example or upload a screenshot of
a typical event. But as I said: I'm not so experienced in VX but in general
both makers should be very alike in the creation of events.

hmm okay, well, the event is talking to an NPC and he gives me my weapon and armor. it has a conditional branch with options (yes, or no basically.) and it branches off to say whatever I want it to depending on what option I chose. (I'm sure you already know that lol sorry.)

that's really all to that event he's an NPC and he's set to action button trigger.

Hmm, I haven't tinkered with the scripts at all. I haven't added any either. I did however, start the conditional branch lately, and it ended up doing this after that was added.

ahhh, well here is your problem then! Screens help so much!

So, you don't need that first page. That is what is causing you to have to hit enter twice. The first time it turns self switch A on, and the second one only works when you press enter again. so to fix this, you need to do two things.

First, delete that first event page, it's totally unnecessary.
Then, on the second page, just un-click the self switch condition and you should be set to go!

Hope this helps!
