Awesome Bro

Hey guys!

Not started a topic in this forum for a long time, let alone design and development!

Anyway, I love to just draw and design random crap without a purpose, so I thought a topic was in order for somewhere to dump it all.

Some of the stuff within this topic is actual content from my game but the majority is just stuff i feel like making at the time.

Anyway, to start with it's just something I've been working on today :

I think the perspective is off on the pots to the gate support, but I realise that and I'll leave it be. I experimented with odd colours in this piece when usually i stick to standard. I tried using blue on the tops of the ballards, and high greens and browns in the brick. The lines all over the gate and wall are vines that no longer have a root. They've attached to the wall and gate when alive and lost life leaving them dark and attached deep.

I dig this graphic, I love the black outlines against the detailed *yet blurry* insides.
The vines look funky though O.o, they just look to blunt comparing to the rest.

Yeah, A lot of the comments I've been having off the forums refer to the vines being very dull compared to the rest. I'll have to remove them and see how it looks then. As for now, I've got a little update :

@Stevo, your style ows! YOu should make more tilesets like this... They look realy cool!

Still I don't think the perspective is wrong, I like it!

They're not really tilesets that I make, more panoramic maps. My current WIP works alongside F0tz's pixel movement and other scripts that cannot be named. It gives me a lot of freedom to create the map entirely in photoshop as a single image. I get bored very easily trying to align objects to a tileset grid. If anyone knows a VERY easy way of aligning, I'd release a bunch of these no questions asked. It's what i do in my own spare time, let alone time i spend in rmxp.

Damn $t3v0 that's pretty much what I've been up to recently, I really like the character your using it looks styled.

The comic is hilarious, seriously good. Make some more.

Well as I said to Chaos - I wouls release many tilesets of this style if someone was to give me a detailed walkthrough on easy aligning. I grow easily bored of running back and forth from photoshop to RMXP just to get an object aligned nicely. There must be an easier way to do it, surely!

I've tried using a 32x32 grid, but that was hopeless!

You supply the method, I'll supply the graphics ... Without fail!

They do look rather shiny and polished :P

I think that's a result of me using too many bright blues and greens.

Thanks for the tip. I'll be uploading more in the next two days.

The vines look rather like large tendrils of hair. I love your style though.

For easy alignment, why doesn't snap to grid work?

I think your "perspective" problem isn't the pots, but rather the plates which connects your pillars to the gate. As you can see, they distort the picture due to the fact that they face the camera straight on. Otherwise, beautiful work, man.
