How would I go about making a shop that lets you synthesize two or more items into one item? A few examples:

Shortsword + Potion = Blade of Healing (Weapon)

Iron Buckler + Reinforced Steel Armor + Cavern Cloak = Wonderguard (Shield)

The Eviscerator + Resonating Bead = Black Blade of the Forgotten (Weapon)


Oh, also simple question, how can I make the screen slowly fade in from black instead of just that quick flash?

it can be done via events or scripts. for a more complicated and in depth item synthesis, go with the script option, you can find quite a few by just looking. for a more simplistic item synthesis, use conditional branches (i.e. if item X is in inventory, etc.) if you only have the three items you want to synthesize, go with the events, if you have an uber long and complicated list, go with a script.

use screen tints, set it to black and choose how many frames it takes to get to it. then do the opposite, set it to normal and choose the frames it takes to get back.

how could i make a shop window that would sell these items? Also, how would I make the shop prevent you from buying the item unless you have the needed items for synthesis, and if you do have the items, it removes the synthesized items from your inventory when you buy the item from the shop?

That sounds a little more complicated than just an event based item mixing, but come standards with most item mixing scripts. it may not be IN the shop menu, but you can have the shop NPC give you the choice of shopping or item synsthesis. there are two or three popular one, one is Prexus' and another is Deke's. last time i checked, Prexus' wasnt working, but that was a long time ago, heres a link: http://www.rmxp.org/forums/index.php?topic=11261.0
You can find dekes by searching. if you dont like either of those, i suggest you look on some other RMXP sites, like creation asylum.
