Stupid things you did when you were younger that you regret.

I traded my SNES and all of the games for an N64. :| And my N64 doesn't even work anymore, which sucks because I wanna replay the Zelda games.

Similar thing for me. I sold my SNES games, and I regret it now that I want to play them again. I could go for a quick game of Super Mario World, or some Zelda LTtP, or, best of all, some multipler Double Dragon action.

I mean, we do have some good games in my flat (Super Mario Allstars, Mario Kart, Lion King), but most of them suck colossal balls (Contra, Magic Sword, Young Merlin...).

And even though drunk Mario Kart is fun at 4am when you're coming home with your flatmates, drunk Double Dragon would be a nice change...

I once spent a week on an oxycodone binge. Damned waste of money and such a pain to get off of.

I made a lot of stupid decisions not too long ago.

Most of the things I regret are relationships - even as a child, all the way to my teenager years.

I won't go into details, though since no one really cares. XD

Yeah, I have a few of those too. Ah, to be young and dumb!

You made me look up the classical definition of "regret".

"to feel sorrow or remorse for (an act, fault, disappointment, etc.)"

I think for most of us, there are (or will be) thousands of things we wish we hadn't done, or done differently.
however, most of those things we accept responsibility for, apologize, make amends, try to learn from our mistakes, and don't fret about them anymore.

I tend to think of, and use the word 'regret' as the more long-lasting, serious, "I really made my life more difficult" type of transgressions.

How about.. "Stupid things you did when you were younger that you still regret."

I didn't finish college & get a degree. I'd probably still be in the same career, just making 20% more. Not that big of a deal, but...

Also, if I'd have stayed in the Marine Corps, I could have retired 6 years ago with a full pension. Although that would have been a life-changer. Not sure if better, worse or just different from now, so I'm not gonna sweat it.

and of course, there was that whole episode with the goat, but we don't talk about that...

I sold my Nintendo 64 + a lot of games for it about 7 years ago for about €50. I was thinking of buying most of it back a while ago, but found out that was going to cost me about €150...

Well, I can't say the stupidest thing "I'VE" ever done, but my brother bought the N64 when it "FIRST" came out. He called in sick to work, his boss saw him and he was fired the next time he went into work. He sold it to buy other kind of games (SEGA system), because there wasn't very much coming out for the N64. It's one of those, YOU WERE FIRED FOR THE N64!?: ME, leaving my games at home when I went to Job Corp, I still don't have that game. (I think it was called IQ and the game was featured on Playstation demo disk).

1. There are two girls I wish I had asked out while in school, a cute blond Jewish girl and a skinny Chinese girl. I never got my hands around it.

2. I regret not learning French. I'm still trying to do so, but it's really hard with Medicine school.

3. I regret visiting my ex-girlfriend in Pittsburgh instead of travelling to Perú. She's a bitch.

4. I regret not studying enough in high school or in Medicine school. Now I'm having to bust my ass.

5. When I was a kid, I was in a fencing team, and I was quite good at it. One day, I simply stopped going to practice. I can barely hold a sword in my hand these days.

Not doing physics. Well, it wasn't my choice, I wanted to do physics but my school dropped it from the choices for A level. To do it I would have had to switch schools, and I really wish I did. My school was shit. Put it this way: 44 people finished ICT out of 100; 43 failed.

not having done my homework and not wirking my ass of in school. i could have been a straight A student, (or at least A/B) and graduated with honors had I but done my homework. That constantly dragged my grades down into the C/B range.

I almost caused my dad to lose his finger because he was in his workshop using a tablesaw and I accidentally hit the light switch.
