Stubby Template

I'm currently trying my hand at making a charset template (to add to the 100,000,000+ one here already), but I wanted to know what y'all think before I do any more. I got the idea for this style template from the old DQ games. Here is what I have so far with a 500% zoom:

Hmm..it's good.
But the head is way to far down on the body. Even for a stubby.

Hey there, template buddy! JK.

Umm...it needs a neck...yeah.

It would benefit from having the light source at the front of it...meaning that the sun is directing the light at the front of the body, not to the side.

Also, you should make the eyes ONE PIXEL wider, with a white pixel at the top edge of the second width, to allow for eye colors more readily. And move the eyes up by 1 or 2 pixels, as well.

I wanted his head to be that low so it would kinda look like the characters from the old Dragon Quest games.

EDIT: Crap, it's been a long time since I've played the old DQ games, thier heads are higher than I remember. I'm guna redo it using some DQVI characters as a base and rename the template. I should have the changes up Monday night, since I won't be on my computer tomorrow.

Well, still, it's just a little too low. At least bring it up by one pixel, it will look so much better.

Put his head where his neck would connect with his chest.

It's a good start man, but i think it's too small for use in rmxp, imo if you want to keep it a small size and have it be usable in rmxp you should make it exactly the size of a tileset grid so that the character will be able get closer to objects, though you could also use that custom resolution script found in bluescopes sig.

@mex: I plan on fixing that.
@ID: I noticed that problem, but I have trouble making it 32x32 because I have trouble with the proportion when it's much bigger than it is now.
