Stat growth by class.

I was wondering if it was possible to make it so when a character levels up his stats grow based on his class, not his person. I'm allowing the player to choose his class at the beginning of the game and I want to make every class different with stat growth. I don't want to have to make a character for every class, so I'm hoping there is an easier way to do so?
 
Define "Easy." You'd be completely redefining the way that leveling up works, so you'd either need a script for this, or to create a fairly complex system of events. (Not impossible, but complex.)

The script would involve more complications than some to use, because you can't input the information that you want through the maker. It'd have to be done directly, through the script editor.
 
Well if your character chooses the class at the beginning of the game and it doesnt change the easiest seems like what you dont want to do...making a copy of a character for each stat. If you simply create the various classes and then choose names/graphics/what not and copy/paste all you need to do is change the stats which takes no time. It really does seem the simplest and would require less work than what it sounds like you are planning. Unless of course you have upwards of 100 classes or something ridiculous like that.
 
Well, I would say that if you don't want to go with a script, then you would have to set everything in a common event.
I'm actually working on a system for this right now, and I'm almost done. It's actually pretty simple to do. The hardest part is coming up with how you want to increase the stats. The only downside is that because everything is done with events, your stat increases happen right after the battle ends once you are back on the map.

Edit: and well Starseed came up with a better way that I completely overlooked...I'd suggest that method, though I'm still going to complete mine just because it's already almost done.

to starseed; I see what your saying, it is pretty simple, but I do have a ridiculous amount of classes, for several different people, so, this is why I was hoping for...a short cut. :p

To xgamexfreakx; how does it work? That is kind of a downside...guess your gonna have to make the battles worth the stat growth xP
