Star Wars: Galatic Battlegrounds issue....

Yes, I still have this game and I play it every now and then...Anyways, before the new graphics card upgrade this game worked perfectly. Now after getting this new card, NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS, sometime randomly during a game an "unexpected error" occurs and the game immediately closes out. I have no idea why this is happening, I thought the card would be able to run this game perfectly...I don't know what to do to fix this, anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

P.S: I've tried Emailing LucasArts, but when I try to get their Email I get this "404 page not found" stuff...not to mention the home page takes forever to load for my internet connection. This is faster, lol.

EDIT: Forgot to add, dunno if this is important or not. But I have the Clone Campaigns edition by the way.

Are you using the latest drivers?

Yeah, I have everything updated...and also my computer specs and all that are more than enough to run this as well.

It may just be that your video card is too new, and the chipset isn't supported.  I had a similar problem with Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine.

Figures, that sucks...You sure there's nothing I can do to fix it? If not then oh well, I do have Sins of a Solar Empire, lol.

Like I said, I'm not sure if that's your problem or not, but if it is, you can get an older card or an older computer so you can play it.

Have you tried 'Rebuilt' drivers?  IE non-official drivers?  I found i need to do so to play Fable and Spore.  Otherwise they would black screen then crash.

You mean re-installing them? If so then yeah, I'm pretty sure I tried everything I could think of. I think what Darkfire said is it though, they should make a sequel for this game...like, same engine just better graphics and more races and stuff.

No, not reinstalled drivers.  Third-Party Drivers.

NVidia has a lot of issues. You're better off with an ATI card. I know I get blackscreen all the time in Oblivion.

The Apple Drivers for NVidia are good, though.

I did have an ATI card but I was getting a crap load of glitches in the newer games I own (which were Orange Box and Spore's Creature Creator), and all the other games work perfectly with this card...I'm fine with it for right now, I can live without Galactic Battlegrounds if this is the case.
